Indexing government scandals one at a time
All 205 National Service staff recruited in December, 2016 have had their recruitment withdrawn with immediate effect.
There have been concerns that this action could be illegal since it was the mandate of the board of the NSS to have done so and at the moment, the NSS has no board. Some also say it was a political witch hunt.
The dismissed staff have proceeded with a court action because they claim that there was no board in place to sanction the decision as required by the NSS Act.
