GH¢5.6m gov’t cash was spent on only Ghana@60 6th March parade

It has emerged that the government has spent Ghs5 million on only the 6th March parade to commemorate the country’s 60th Independence Anniversary. The Chairman of the Ghana @ 60 committee, Ken Amankwah said the amount was among other things used to pay for rented cars and hotel accommodation for special guests who attended the anniversary celebration.

This revelation contradicts the President’s announcement that the funds for the year-long celebrations will be sourced from the private sector.
