Indexing government scandals one at a time
In the 2020 budget presented to Parliament by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, government’s plan to fix deplorable roads across the country excluded roads in the Volta Region.
The budget had a list of roads to be constructed in 15 regions, but the Volta region wasn’t part.
This sparked questions from the Minority, who believe the government is deliberately ignoring the Volta region.
How the government can list all 15 regions but the Volta Region has raised even more questions among citizens who say this could not be a mistake since the preparation of budget goes through many stages before the final presentation.
