Indexing government scandals one at a time
The Ministry of Finance led by the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta has organized a party to celebrate what it calls Ghana's hat-trick; the successful raising of an eurobond, completion of IMF-ECF programme and cedi appreciation.
Many Ghanaians have accused the Minister and government for celebrating mediocrity considering we don't remember any Minister in the past organizing such unnecessary parties.
For most of the people, it is unthinkable for the government to jubilate over a loan it has secured which the taxpayers will eventually pay. More mind boggling to some of them is the celebration over the marginal appreciation of the cedi, which for them, is just temporary.
