Ofori-Atta approved $34.9m payment to Akufo-Addo's daughter's company for ambulance spare parts

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has disclosed that the former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta has been involved in a US$34.9 million equivalent to GHS538 million deal for 307 ambulance servicing.

According to him, former Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, and former Minister for Health, Kweku Agyemang-Menu collaborated to effect the payment to Service Ghana Auto Group Limited.

According to the lawmaker, the Auditor-General discovered that Service Ghana Auto Group Limited was “illegally engaged and paid for 8 months before the government gave them a contract.”

“Intercepted incorporation documents reveal that a key director of Service Ghana Auto Group Limited by name Stephen Okoro is apparently a very close business partner and longtime associate to two daughters of President Akufo-Addo.

“The President’s daughter, Gyankroma Akufo-Addo and Stephen Okoro are the only two directors of SFO Initiatives Limited.”, the lawmaker disclosed.
