Indexing government scandals one at a time
President Nana Akufo-Addo, then flagbearer of the opposition NPP in 2015 alleged at an International Conference of the party's at the NH Grand in Amsterdam that President John Mahama’s administration had spent $10 million on printing presidential diaries which was a waste of public funds even when the Mahama administration had said the said diaries were printed by private companies with no public monies spent.
A year and half into Prez Akufo-Addo's administration, it is reported that he has caused for the printing of Presidential Diaries also using funds from private companies.
The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin has said that the government did not spend state funds on printing 2017 and 2018 diaries. Meanwhile, there are reports GNPC helped produce the diaries in 2018.
