Pro-NPP militia trains at Presidency Annex

Despite the President’s rhetoric on peace and security, Joy News investigations have found, his former personal bodyguard leads a pro-government militia group.

The explosive documentary aired on Joy News, revealed the pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) militia group De Eye Group is led by Nana Wireko Addo, popularly known as ‘Choman’.

The group received considerable state support, training in the Presidency Annex since the party won power in 2017. Choman, the leader of the group has his office inside the Presidency Annex. The Presidency Annex is located at the Christiansborg Castle, Osu in Accra. Ironically, the Emile Short Commission investigating electoral violence meets at the premises used by the militia group.
