GHS1.5m rot uncovered at EPA

An investigation by Corruption Watch has uncovered that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sunk, at least, GHS1.5 million into questionable contracts.

Two of the EPA’s last three Executive Directors, Mr John Pwamang and Mr Peter Abum Sarkodie, oversaw the award of those contracts.

Both of them signed off contracts worth more than their threshold as entity heads without approval from the EPA’s Entity Tender Committee.
